I carried that quote around in my wallet for over 8 years before I actually had the courage to act on it.

But it was not before I had reached the end of my endurance working in Procurement & Marketing for a multi national computer hardware manufacturer in both Europe and Asia.

From an outside perspective, I appeared to be doing well - a great job that allowed me to travel all over the world, a stable marriage, apparent financial health and a strong support network of family and friends. The truth was I felt trapped in the world that I had created not by design but by chance. My health was poor, I spent more time glued to my laptop or mobile than with the people I loved. I seemed unable to experience fun or give joy to anybody. I completely lost sight of who I was and what I stood for. I became unrecognizable to myself.

I had a choice, I could remain moving forward in an environment that gave me validation as a “productive professional” but little else or I could choose ‘Georgia’ and create the life I wanted to live.

With the support of my husband, family and friends - I chose Georgia. The transformation I have made in my life - leaving the security of a good job, establishing a thriving practice and moving country is not without risk but I have consciously chosen this path and take full responsibility for the highs and the lows. I have chosen to bring myself to life. I invite you to do the same.
